Abstract: Objective The survey of the biting cycles of some common culicids at Jinan International Airport.Methods Using bed-curtain,insect net and light trap to collect mosquitoes.Results About 2 018 adult mosquitoes were collected in this survey,which belonged to 8 species,5 genus.Culex pipiens pallens and Culex tritaeniorhynchus were dominant mosquitoes.The active period of the mosquitoes had two peaks in day and night.The first peak period was 1-2 hours after sunset and the second peak period was 1-2 hours before sunrise.The former was more than the latter.Conclusion The atmospheric temperature and the sunshine time were the two primary factors influenced the biting cycles of some common culicids.
