Abstract: This paper reported rodent control in farmland by baiting jar for the first time. The experiments were carried out in Xuecheng District, Shandong Province from January to May in 1989 and from March to May in 1993.The results indicated that baiting jar can be used to control the farmland rodent pests for a long time.One baiting jar every five mu was the best arrangement for pest rodent control with the benefit being excellent, and one baiting jar every seven mu could also take some effect.Controlling the farmland rodent pests by applying baiting jar had not only economic benefit but also ecological benefit ,and was really an effectiva measure for rodent control in farmland which was worth spreading.
