Abstract: The present paper deals with a new species of the genus Simulium Latreille from Huairou County Beijing,China.The type specimes are deposited in the Health and Anti-Epidemic Station of Xinbin County,Liaoning Province. Simulium(Wilhelmia) pekingense sp.nov.This new species is closely resembles to Simulium(Wilhelmia) takahasii (Rubtsov,1962) and S.(W.) xingyiense Chen and Zhang,1998,but differs from it in having the female genital fork below margin without open up,male coixte closely vectangle shaped,ventral plate concave anteriorly,median sclerite closely vectangle shaped,pupa below out gill filaments about 2 times as long as up gill filaments,larva postgenal cleft wider than high.Holotype ♀、alltype ♂、paratype 10 ♀♀、13♂♂、78 pupa and 156 larva collected by Sun Yuexin on 13 October,1994,in Huairou County,Beijing.
