Abstract: Objective:To observe and study the eclosion process of Chrysomya megacephala at the laboratory,at the same time,to record in details ecologic changes of each process as well as lightness,temperature,humidity,time,ratio of male and female so as to find its weak stages.Methods:The larva of Ⅲ stage were collected in the field and were breed in lab.It's eclosion process and the eclosion regularity of day and night was observed.Results:The eclosion occured mainly during night about 88.81%.The peak time was from 21-24o\clock with 44.67% naturel eclosion rate.The shape and behavior varied from stage to stage obviously.Conclusion:The eclosion process may be divided into five stages:Ⅰ crawling stage,Ⅱ stretching stage,Ⅲ colour changing stage,Ⅳ flying stage,Ⅴ adult stage.During the first three stages,the fly stays on the medium surface for a long time(42-148 min).It may be used for the control of them.
