Field investigation on the efficacy of stratagem block for rat control in a residential area in Nanning

摘要:

目的 了解杀它仗蜡块在亚热带地区住宅区的灭鼠效果。方法 选择某住宅区作为本次试验现场,以新鲜稻谷为诱饵,用盗食法了解鼠密度;采用间歇投药法和饱和投药法投放灭鼠毒饵。结果 间歇投药法第1个周期后鼠密度下降率为69.0%,第2个周期为61.8%,第3个周期为45.3%;饱和投药法10 d后鼠密度下降率达81.0%。结论 杀它仗蜡块在高温、高湿环境下,性状稳定,对鼠的选择性较强,无非靶标动物中毒,饱和投药法的鼠密度下降率优于间隙投药法。

Abstract:

Objective To investigate the efficacy of Stratagem block for rat control in a residential area in the semi-tropical area. Methods One residential area in the semi-tropical area was chosen for the field test. Fresh rice was used as bait and the rodent density was worked out by bait-stealing method. Baits were laid by means of pulse and surplus-baiting techniques. Results It was found that with the pulse-baiting technique the rat density reduced by 69.0%, 61.8% and 45.3% in the first, second and third period, respectively. In contrast, the reduction rate of rat density amounted to 81.0% with the surplus-baiting method. Conclusion Stratagem is safe and stable in a condition of high temperature and humidity, and highly selective for rats with no collateral damage to non-targeted animals during the experiment. The surplus-baiting technique is superior to the pulse-baiting method in terms of their efficacy for reducing rat density.
