Abstract: Objective To study the mosquito community characteristics in human houses in Puwen town,Yunnan province. Methods Mosquitoes were collected with CDC lamp-traps in human houses during nights every day,and the cacculated data were analysed by entomological community methods. Results 3 subfamilies,5 genera,8 subgenera and 20 species were collected; the dominant species is Culex pseudovishnui and Cx.tritaeniorhynchus,make up of 40.95 and 40.39 in all. In turn by Anopheles vagus,An.tesselletus,An.minimus,Armigeres subalbatus,and make up of 10.81,1.60,1.31and 1.19 respectively. Their dominance in turn is 60.43,61.99,39.07,16.32,14.15,11.83. Conclusion The mosquito community in human houses include fairly abundant species and its structure and component were very complicated.
