Abstract: Objective To study the susceptibility of Blattella germanica to deltamethrin at different development stages, different sexes, and to show the correlation between the susceptibility reducing and weight,so as to provide evidence for cockroach insecticide resistance management and control. Methods The larvae developing for different weeks after hatched and two sex adults were used to evaluate the susceptibility to deltamethrin using topical application method. Results The susceptibility to deltamethrin was higher for 1-6 weeks larvae, with LD50 from 0.000 26 to 0.000 91 μg a.I/ larva, than 7-8 weeks larvae and adults. There was no significant susceptibility difference among 7-8 weeks larvae and male adults, with LD50 from 0.002 15 to 0.002 98 μg a.I/ larva(adult). There was no significant susceptibility between the adults with and without pods, whose LD50 values were the lowest at 0.009 25 μg a.I/ adult and 0.008 22 μg a.I/ adult respectively. There was a significant positive correlation between the susceptibility reducing and weight, with R2=0.9524 . Conclusion There is a relationship of Blattella germanica deltamethrin susceptibility at different development phase and sexes. There is a significant positive correlation between the susceptibility reducing and wight increasing.
