Abstract: Objective To observe the preference of commesal rodent to different kinds of bait stations in countryside.Methods Preference trial of rodent pests to five types of bait stations was carried out in residential premises in countryside.The 5 types of bait stations were clay station with one open,clay station with two open,flowerpot,cement box with two open and bamboo bait station.Results The result indicated that flowerpot and bamboo bait stations were suitable to control rodent pests in residential area in countryside.Conclusion For flowerpot and bamboo stations are easy to make and low in cost,the two types of bait stations can be used in rodent control.
