Abstract: Infection of 1 879 soldiers with vermiform mites was examined by allophane method in south China. The total infection rate was 54.82% form Tongzha(Hainan province) 58.01%,Chaoshan(Guangdong province) 52.15% and Nanjing city 58.00%. The infection rate was not significant difference in the three areas. Among the infected soldiers, the rates of Demodicid follicularum and D、brevis were 87.96% and 2.62% respectively. That of the coinfection was 9.42%. The rate of slight infection was 80.33%. That of middle infection was 13.86%. That of severe infection was 5.81%. There was significant difference among them. The infected soldiers was treated with the killing mites emulsion made form plants. The results showed that 70.27% soldiers were cured after 30 days in Chaoshan, 46.14% soldiers were cured after 20 days in Nanjing. The total effective rates reached 97.30% and 94.87% respectively. The usage of the emulsion is not only killing and controlling mites,but also protecting skin. It can be used for a long time.
