Abstract: Object: To probe into the rule and inquire into the density restorative situation of domestic rodents population,which would aid for institution of effective measures in rodent's control. Method: Poison bait of 0.005% Bromadiolone was used for killing rats with surplus baiting method, and then the population density was determined with powderedspot and cagetrap captured menthods every months Result: The lower population density of domestic rodnts could be kept for 5-6 months in the areas with better general sanitation and higher rats killing efficiency, and the density didn''t restore until 8 months later. While in those areas with poor general sanitation and high population density of domestic rodents,it was very difficult to make down to a lower level just by killing rats with rodenticide only. Even though a large number of rodenticide with continuing bating had it be treated with,it should keep the low level of rodent density not longer than 1 or 2 months. For killing rats there was obvious difference in effiency between different seasons. Conclusion: The density restoration in population of domestic rodents affer killing rats is related to the environment sanitary condition and the killing efficiency. The duration of restoring is relatively longer in the area with high rats killing efficiency in good general sanitary, and shorter with conversely. For successful rodents control in suburbs, the rats killing with rodenticide must be in combination with improving of general sanitary.
