Abstract: Six hybridoma cell lines producing monoclonal antitalies to hantavir-us were established by fusion of sp2/0 mice rnyeloma cells with spleen cells of BALB/c mice immunized with Hantavirus strain 76- 118 and R22.Among these, two were of the IgGl, one was of IgG2b and three were of IgG2a.Ascitic titres of the antibodies ranged from 1: 10 240 to 1: 81 920 when tested by indirect immunofiuorescent antibody staining rnethod.Reversed passive hemagglutination inhibition test dernonstrated that the hemagglutination inhibition titres of the six antibodies were lower than l: 20.Western-blotting assay showed the six antitheies were all binding to the nucleocapsid protein.According to cross-reactivities with other hantavirus, the antibodies were classified into three groups: 3 antitheies cross-reacting with Hantaan and Seoul virus strains, l specific to Hantaan serotype and 2 specific to seul serotyPe.6 antibodies were also used in antigenic analysis of virus strains isolated from Ningxia.
