Abstract: The distribution of Aedes aegypti(L) in Guangxi were confined at Seven Places. Since 1981 a project on using of fish breeding in household water containers to control A. aegypti was studied by Guangxi Institute of Parasitic Diseases, and had got better results From 1986 to 1990, another eradication programme on A. aegypti in Guangxi was launched out, the measures were: ① Clarias fuscus were breeded in household water containers in the whole infected area; ② Cleaning the breeding place of A. aegypti and regularcheck up 2-3 times per month was made, And the useless containers will be turned upside down to prevent water accumulation, and cleaned all broken (water) containers; ③ Health education; ④ Scientific administration and following strict surveying system. The familes who didn't payattention to stock fish and cleaning breeding place will be given education at first, and persuade them to follow the requirements, if not succeeded, they will be asked to make them to do so in a limit of days.Since we persisted in applying this system, the Breteau index was decreased to Zero, within 1 year, and keep a sustained negative container index still now(1990. 12) in Guangxi, P. R. C.
