Abstract: To investigate the hibernant feature of Aedes togoi, Shanghai-Zhoushan strain, animportant vector for filariasis in south-east coast of China,and to illuminate whether it takes a formof quiescence or of a diapause for overwintering, the egg and the stage Ⅳ larvae of this strain/species were subjected to long-term (LD 16: 8) light exposure and group-wisely bred under different temperature.Rates on egg hatching or larval pupation were determined and the process ofhibernant diapause reactivation was checked.The results revealed that both LD 16: 8 and LD 8:16 groups showed high percentage for egg hatching and larval pupation, being 80% and 97% respectively.Both groups were not affected by the light exposure, thus no diapause reactivation occured.Observations on the natural process of hibernation also demonstrated the direct associationof the Aedes togoi stage Ⅳ larval to temperature but not to light exposure.It may therefore be concluded that the egg and stage Ⅳ larvae of Shanghai-Zoushan strain of Aedes togoi took the form ofa quiesecent overwintering.
摘要: 目的:探讨东多伊蚊越冬规律。方法:实验样本是在18±1C恒温室中,从亲代至子代均分别用长日照(L:D=16:8)和短日照(L:D=8:16)处理。结果:舟山林东乡伊蚊的卵和Ⅳ龄幼虫均不受光周期的影啊,亦无滞育发育(再活化)过程。结论:该蚊的卵和Ⅳ龄幼虫的越冬均属静止越冬,无滞育现象。
