Abstract: The aim of the study was to demonstrate an effetive method for the control of rats(Rattus norvegicus) on a large modern chicken farm.Racumin Tracking Powder (TP) with 0.75% coumatetralyl,a multiple dose anticoagulant was chosen because of its known effectiveness against rats and its low toxicity to birds.At first the farm was thoroughly inspected by night and day and signs of rat activity were documented.On the basis of the observations it was decided where to place 100 bait stations.The baitwas made of cock feed and Racumin TP mixed in the ratio 19: 1.Bait consuption was measureddaily and consumed bait was replaced.The infestation on the farm corresponded to about 11 kg baitconsumption daily when the trial was begun.The rats consumed 41.5 kg of bait during the period over 17 days.The infestation was reducedbelow 5% of the initial size after 10 days baiting.After 17 days the infestation was reduced below2.8%.No chickens or dogs were observed having symptoms of poisoning with an anticoagulantduring and after the experiment.The results emphasize that Racumin, TP is an effective rodenticide for rat control on farms.The mode of action of this anticoagulant has to be integrated in a system of pest management whichtakes into account the behaviour of the rats.
摘要: 目的:观察立克命追踪粉在现代化养鸡场杀灭褐家鼠(Rattus norvegicus)的效果。方法:首先对养鸡场进行日夜观察,记录鼠活动情况.在此基础上确定100个投饵箱投放位置。毒饵由鸡饲料与立克命追踪粉以19:1混合,每天测定毒饵消耗量,并补充到原量。结果:试验开始时,每天的毒饵消耗量约11kg,17天内老鼠消耗41.5kg毒饵。试验10天后,鼠的侵害率下降到5%以下,17天后下降到2.8%以下。试验中及结束后未发生鸡、狗中毒现象。结论:立克命追踪粉可有效控制鸡场害鼠。这种抗凝血灭鼠剂的作用方式适合鼠类的习性.将成为有害生物控制系统中的重要一环。
