Studies on the Oothecal Parasites of Cockroaches in Zhejiang Province

Abstract: This report dealed with studies on oothecal parasites of cockroaches in 8 select districts in Zhejiang province.The main points were as follows:1.Three species of wasps were discovered Among them,T.sp.and E.a. were widely distributed over many areas.T.h.were found only at some particular spots in a few districts.2.According to the findings, 97.6%of the oothecae of cockroaches Periplaneta fuliginosa were parasitized by T.sp;2.3%of them by T.h.and those parasitized by E.a. were only occasionally found.As for the oothecae of cockroaches Periplaneta americana, 81%of them were parasitized by E.a. and 19%by T.sp.3.The parasitic rate of T.sp. was the highest in living oothecae (73.2%); iit was the lowest in dead oothecae (26.2%); in oothecal shells it was medium(67.6%). The total rate in the three cases reached 58.4%.Our field collection showed that oothecal shells, dead oothecae and living oothecae held 69%, 23.3%and 7.7%respectively.The parasitic rate of ootbecal shells usually explains the real condition of wasp parasitism in a certain place.4.Oothecae were mainly found under a kitchen table, inside and outside a cupboard, and in drawers.Therefore, these were the important places for ootheca-controlling.The parasitic rate of T.sp. oothecae was lower in hidden places than in exposed places.This should be paid much attention to in biological controlling.

摘要: 对浙江8个代表性地区的调查结果:①共发现蜚蠊卵荚寄生蜂3种,其中T.sp.和E.a.广泛分布,T.h.仅在少数地区个别点上发现:②黑胸大蠊卵荚被T.sp,寄生的占97.6%,被T.h.寄生的占2.3%,被E.a.寄生的偶见;美洲大蠊卵荚被E.a.寄生的占81.0%,被T.sp.寄生的占19.0%;③T.sp.在活卵荚中的寄生率最高(73.2%),死卵荚中最低(26.2%).卵荚壳居中(67.6%),合计寄生率58.4%;据现场调查,卵荚壳占69.0%,死卵荚占23.3%,活卵荚占7.7%,表明在卵英壳的寄生率最能反映一个地区寄生蜂寄生的实际情况;④厨房菜桌下、菜柜内外、抽屉内等是蜚蠊卵荚分布最多的场所,是防制重点;T.sp.在隐蔽场所对蜚蠊卵荚的寄生率低于暴露场所。此点在生物防制时应加以注意。
