一株特殊莱姆病螺旋体的分子特征

摘要: 对慢性脑膜炎病人胞脊液分离株R9的研究表明,该菌株除具有28kDOspA外,其它特征(包括质粒组成、限制性内切酶图谱和核酸杂交图谱)均与第Ⅱ组相同,其28kDOspA与第Ⅲ组菌株同样与单克隆抗体5332呈现弱反应。这些结果提示,28kDOspA可能是第Ⅱ组菌株所共有的32KDOspA变异所致;同时也提示,B.burgdorferi的抗原变异不仅在体外,而且可能发生在宿主体内。这种抗原的变异,可能与莱姆病的发生有关。

Abstract: Studies on an unusual isolate R9, from CSF of a patient with Chronic meningitis.indicated that the strain R9 had a 28KD OspA while the other characteristics,eg, plasmid profiles, is identical to the growp Ⅲ strains. The 28KD OspA Showed the same weak reactivity with H5332 as the group Ⅲ strains. These results above suggested that the 28KD OspA may be the result of antigenic variation from the 32KD OspA owed by the group Ⅲ strains and the antigenic Variation of B.burgdorferi may occur not only during in vitro cultivation but also in vivo infection. and the antigenic shift in vivo may be relevant to the pathogenesis of Lyme disease.
